Game designer and toxopholite. I have a particular interest in serious games as well as using non-digital games as a productive form of learning. I am a ken proponent of board games and wargames as a learning tool for budding video game designers. I am currently Associate Professor of Game Development at University of Suffolk in the UK, and course leader for the BA (Hons) Computer Games Design degree.
Previously Junior World and European Field Archery Champion, now attempts to practice (practice being the optimal word) traditional archery using English longbows and Asiatic composite bows. Enjoy making my Norfolk_Arrows and other equipment, but not brave enough to try making by own bow, maybe next year.
I enjoy playing miniature wargames and board games.
